Well I've never been "little", literally. :P
However, I'm gonna get bigger and bigger in time to come, and it's great, because we're having a baby!
Yep, the little one was conceived around 28-29 July 2007 and is growing in my tummy. I can still remember the morning where I tested positive on the home pregnancy test kit and saw the "+" sign on the stick. I was stunned, he was stunned - was it real? There is no turning back!
It is now 16 weeks into the pregnancy. The journey has been exciting, and thankfully, smooth. No morning sickness except for evening moodswings, bloatedness and heartburn. Now at 16 weeks, these symptoms have mostly disappeared. The nose is still extra-sensitive, switching between blocked and runny from one day to another.
The scan at 15 weeks revealed that we will be having a little boy and he is expected to arrive around 21 April 2008, give or take 1-2 weeks. The families are excited, the husband is happy, and we're all looking forward to his arrival. :) I wish time could go by faster and I am practically counting the weeks.
There is plenty to do before he arrives. We've had to relook our finances. Things need to be bought, people hired and furniture arranged around the house. And a name to choose. Lots to do! It is daunting sometimes. But I guess the work and fuss is inevitable and we'll just plough through till D-date.
Everyone has been very supportive, really pulling together to do the best for the baby, of which I am very grateful. Let's hope the rest of the journey remains smooth and he is a happy, healthy baby!
