Lately we have been communicating with Dominic using our own brand of baby talk. Dominic sometimes made this sound "Ah Grrrrr .. kkrrrr.." It is actually him playing with his saliva in his throat. Just for fun, we did made the sound back to him. He listened and reciprocated again in delight, stronger and louder. We'd go back and forth, Grrr-ing enthusiastically. It's delightful! As long as you don't think too deeply into it, it is playing with saliva after all :P But it's great to find a common language to communicate with Dominic, even though it is just sounds without any meaning.
Husband is accepting of this baby talk because it is clean - no drooling or spittle flying, and it's so much fun to watch him respond :D
