Dominic is an ever-changing ever-evolving person. What he finds funny now will not be amusing in 2 weeks time.
We've gone through a range of sounds that make him smile:
A short "POK!"
Loud "MMMMHH!!" sound - Daddy's favourite
"Ah~!" airy open-the-mouth sound
Grandma's classic "CLAK" very loud tongue-clicking sound - this still works now. Dom finds it funny.
He also has his funny habits and sounds that change every 2 weeks or so.
First few weeks - "NNNnnnrrrggg" Grunting and extreme stretching sounds that he made every frequently when he was a tiny baby. He did stretch a lot when he was swaddled. As soon as he was strong enough (at 1 month) he struggled to get out of the swaddle.
"Eh eh eh" Short Ehs that he makes when he is on his tummy. From the exersion of lifting his head and legs up
"PPppbbtth!" Short-lived habit of raspberry blowing. Strongly discouraged by Dad.
"Grrrrrhh...." Saliva rattling sound in his throat that he likes to make to "talk" to us. After 2 weeks of this, recently he has been making this sound a lot less.
And lately, tongue sticking out :P Dom somehow has discovered tongue-sticking and sometimes sticks out his tongue for no reason. It drives Daddy crazy. Daddy is stringent with Dom's habits. IMO he does not do it that often to warrent any concern. As with all his past habits it'll probably go away in 2 weeks!
